What should your Job application achieve?
You need a job to provide yourself and our family with basic necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing and the little pleasures in life like holidays, parties, birthday presents.
Your goal is to find a job that achieves all that and makes you feel fulfilled as well.
Companies know that’s what you need, but they are concerned with what they need. Their main interest is in the company’s goals.
What will you contribute to the company’s bottom line and business strategy if you are selected for the position?
Your CV or resume should be written so that it is clear why you are applying for a particular position. It should clearly demonstrate that you have the skills, educational background, and experience the position calls for. You understand the industry or sector where you are applying.
Most importantly, you have achieved valuable results in previous positions, and can demonstrate and quantify that both in your application and at interview.
When a company realizes that your achievements and goals align with theirs, they are more likely to call you for an interview.
